“It Still Gives You Goosebumps" Three Months After Craig & Emma Won Their Dream Home

We recently caught up with Craig and Emma, three months after their lives changed forever.

After winning a four-bedroom dream home and car for less than £10, the couple from Teesside are still adjusting to a reality they never thought possible.

And even now…

It hasn’t fully sunk in.

“Unbelievable… absolutely unbelievable”

Asked to sum up the past three months, Craig doesn’t hesitate.

“Unbelievable… absolutely unbelievable.”

When asked what had changed the most, Craig said “the stress is gone,” after leaving his factory job of 13 years, where he’d been working 12-hour shifts.

The stress is gone.

The early mornings.
The long shifts.
The constant pressure of day-to-day life.

“Life’s easy now,” he said.
“You don’t have to get up at that time in the morning… you don’t have to do 12-hour shifts.”

“You actually get goosebumps”

Despite settling into their new life, the feeling still hasn’t faded.

“Yeah… you actually get goosebumps,” Craig said.

Emma agrees.

“It hasn’t for me,” she added.
“The big cheque is in our front room — every time you walk in, it makes me feel a bit sick knowing that’s ours.”

It’s a constant reminder of just how much has changed.

A Life That Feels Completely Different

In the months since the win, Craig and Emma have started enjoying things that once felt out of reach.

A recent trip to Lanzarote gave them a chance to properly switch off — something they admit would have felt very different before.

But even then, reality followed them.

While out at a restaurant, someone recognised them.

“You’re the ones who won half a million!”

A moment that made it all feel real again.

One of the biggest changes hasn’t just been their own lifestyle — it’s what they’ve been able to do for others.

When a friend’s car kept breaking down, Craig didn’t think twice.

He simply stepped in and sorted it.

In another moment, they even handed over a car to someone who needed it more.

“It’s massive for them,” they said.

It’s a reflection of how the win hasn’t just changed their lives — but the lives of people around them too.

“It’s changed everything”

Looking back, it’s hard for them to believe how much has shifted from one small entry.

“You wouldn’t think a family from Teesside would be here,” Craig said.

And yet, here they are.

From less than £10… to a completely different future.

What Comes Next?

While they’ve already experienced so much change, they’re still thinking about the future.

The next big step?

Making the house truly theirs.

“For me, it’s about buying the house,” Craig said.
